Many Christians understand grace as God’s forgiveness of sin — and that is gloriously true. But grace is so much more. It is the unmerited favour of God that not only pardons us but empowers us to live differently. Romans 5:17 speaks of those who receive the abundance of grace reigning in life through Jesus Christ. Grace is not just a one-time transaction at salvation; it is the ongoing atmosphere in which the Christian life is lived. It means that when we fail, we do not have to hide from God — we can run to Him. It means that our standing before God is not based on our performance but on Christ’s finished work. At RCCG Harvest Centre, we preach a grace that is both free and transforming. It does not give us licence to sin; it gives us the power to overcome sin. Understanding grace changes how we relate to God, to ourselves, and to others. When we truly grasp how much we have been forgiven, we become people who forgive freely.
